The Top 10 Places to Visit While High

Getting high and enjoying the beauties of cannabis is an event in itself.

The euphoria you experience, your senses being enhanced, the new realms your brain reaches; they all combine to create one amazing journey. However, the question is, are there places you can visit that will boost your high even more? Sometimes when you get stoned the desire is to sit back, eat some snacks and stay at home. Of course, there’s nothing wrong with this decision. In fact, sometimes this is exactly what we all need. But, there are also times when a little push in the right direction can inspire a whole new experience. There are places that exist in many cities and towns, that when visited, can combine incredibly with the wonders and effects of cannabis. Which one will you try?

The Wonders of Cannabis

The cannabis plant has been used recreationally for its beautiful effects for centuries. The combination of the two most prominent cannabinoids - THC and CBD - create a feeling of relaxation and euphoria. Not everyone enjoys weed, but those that do enjoy it because of certain benefits. Here is a list of how marijuana can make people feel: Relaxed, euphoric, giggly, creative, peckish, thoughtful, amused.

With the benefits and wonders of cannabis being understood, there are certain locations that will enhance these feelings that little bit more. If you’re worried about having to travel far, don’t sweat. There will definitely be somewhere on this list that you can utilize. As Stewie Griffin once said: ‘everything’s better with a bag of weed’. So why not roll up a joint, and try one of these incredible places out?

Cinema

the first perfect high place on the list is the cinema. The first cinema was opened in 1905 and, since then, its popularity has only increased. Of course the likes of Netflix and Amazon may try to keep us all on our sofas, but the experience of a cinema is incomparable. The unique experience of travelling to a cinema, sitting in the dark with strangers, seeing a film on a huge screen, an amazing sound system and eating some popcorn - it’s a journey for the senses. And seeing as weed enhances the senses, the cinema is the ideal location. So break through your laziness and fight against the conglomerates that are Amazon and Netflix, get yourself to the cinema and make sure to get stoned.

Forest

Next up on the list is the forest. Now, despite that children’s stories might say that ‘if you go down to the woods today you’re sure of a big surprise’, the truth is that forests can be very calm and meditative places. Forests are often dense and often very quiet. Light and sound can get lost in a forest. However, this isn’t something to be immediately fearful of. A forest is a beautifully calming place, that you can utilize to be alone with your thoughts. Also - no one will stop you from smoking weed in a forest; unless you meet a highly pedantic dog-walker. Take your stash, maybe a book or some music, and enjoy the density and tranquility of the forest.

Museum

Museums are essentially designed for the stoners. If you’ve ever been to the Natural History Museum or Imperial War Museum, then you’ll have witnessed how such dense information can be taken and presented in such a mind-blowing way. Cannabis can open the mind to new ideas and concepts, so if you’ve ever found a museum boring before, weed will probably change that. So roll a joint and go learn how the dinosaurs became extinct.

Art Gallery

Art galleries, similar to museums, can sometimes be insanely interesting places, but also sometimes a bit dry. It all depends on how the information or artwork is presented to the viewer. Nonetheless, cannabis will most definitely assist with that. Due to the sensory enhancement, after some good old-fashioned THC, an art piece can seriously come alive. Suddenly the colours and even the artist's intention can become clearer and more vibrant. If you’re in Paris, go to the Louvre. If you’re in London, go to the V&A. If you’re in the middle of nowhere, find anything. Art is a beautiful portrayal of emotion, and weed can unlock it for you.

Gig

A music event, or ‘gig’ to the cool people, is an absolute high-person’s paradise. The feeling of togetherness with a crowd is extremely enhanced by weed. Not only that, but the huge and incredible sound system drifts notes into your ear like honey. If you’ve ever seen Pink Floyd play Great Gig In The Sky live then you’re perhaps the luckiest person alive. Of course ideally you can go to see a music artist you love, but even an unknown artist can still give you joy. Music is a sensory delight and is perfect for any weed-enthusiast

Country Side

The countryside, like the forest, offers an alternative existent to that of the big, bustly city. Cities can oddly make people feel lonely, despite how many people there are living there. However, the countryside can re-connect you with nature and pure oxygen. Cannabis has a good tendency to alter your mind to cut through the bullshit, and the countryside has very little of that (although literally it might actually have some). If you want to experience a simple, non-fake life, then why not take some bud and get out into the countryside?

Beach

The beach - be it a cold English beach or a hot Greek one - gifts you a rare necessity: the sea. The sea is a healer, both mentally and physically. A jump in the sea can completely clear your mind, whilst also healing those cuts you got from stressfully biting your nails at work. The beach is a place that crucially reminds you why water is the most important thing to any animal. Plus, if it's hot, then you relax, sunbathe, have a beer, and enjoy a gorgeous spliff. If that’s not paradise, then what is?

Restaurant

Have you ever wondered whether food tastes the best after weed? Well, the answer is probably yes. Not only does cannabis cause the famous ‘munchies’, but it also increases your sense of taste. Therefore, going to a restaurant when you’re high is basically like taking your taste buds on holiday. Although, it would probably be good to organize this before you get high, so you can make the most out of it. Choose your favorite restaurant or favorite type of food, book a table, maybe get some friends together, smoke a spliff, and go have the time of your life.

Laser Tag

As we get near the end of the list, it’s time to get a bit more specific. Laser tag is a game that might look like it’s only fun for 14 year old boys, but is actually fun for everyone. Especially after a nice bit of bud. If you’re unaware, laser tag is that game that is like a live-version of Call of Duty, but instead of bullets, you shoot cool-looking lasers. The concentration and creativity it can stir is something that combines very nicely with some beautiful THC. Get your friends together, fight to the death and the last person standing...buys the next draw

Space

Finally, on this list, we have space. An amazing place to visit whilst you’re high is space. The unknown. Endless. If you’re friends with Richard Branson, or for some reason have a spaceship, then shoot yourself into space and enjoy the wonders of the universe and cannabis hand-in-hand. However, it’s also possible that - just like 99.99% of the planet’s population - you are unable to go to space. In which case, why not do some old-fashioned stargazing. Find a quiet and dark spot near where you live, during a clear-sky night, and lie back and gaze into the milky way. Plus, light up some bud and enjoy it as you stare into the beautiful abyss. Space was made for the stoners in all of us.

Now it’s up to you

Now you know the top 10 places to visit whilst you’re high and why, you can go test them out for yourself. The list has been made especially so that, hopefully, a version of most of these will be close to where you live. Remember, getting high is a truly wonderful experience, and there are many ways to make it that little bit better. So, where will you go?
